ALBION CUP Preseason Elite Showcase – General Info

Teams applying will play in their 2024-2025 age group and will be playing by birth year. ALBION CUP Preseason Elite Showcase for MLS Next, EA, GA, DPL, ECNL clubs. It will be U11-19 with full-length games, 3 game minimum, film, trainers, hydration stations, coaches lunches, team championship and club championship. This will be a high-level pre-season event that will provide all the elements needed to prepare teams for league play. All application will need to have payment with them to be considered. This alone does not automatically enter your team. All teams will need to gain official acceptance into the ALBION CUP Preseason Elite Showcase held in Temecula, California.

**NOTE: ANY TEAM THAT SIGNS UP FOR THE WRONG AGE GROUP WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT UNLESS THERE IS ROOM IN THE APPROPRIATE AGE GROUP. IF THERE IS NO ROOM IN THE PROPER AGE GROUP THE TEAM WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNLESS THE TOURNAMENT FILLS THEIR SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT.

Teams traveling in from out of state will be granted early acceptance starting June 1, 2024

For Travel Planning:

Local teams could potentially play on Friday at 5:00pm or 6:30pm.

Games can start as early as 7:30am on Saturday and final whistle as late at 7:00pm on Sunday.

Mandatory Team Check-In:

We will now do Team Check-In for all teams at the field on Saturday 90 min before the game.

Teams do not need to worry about travel papers.

All teams coming from outside San Diego will need to stay at one of the approved ALBION CUP Hotels in order to be accepted. This tournament is a “Stay and Play” event.
All teams will be scheduled to play at a minimum of 3 full-length games.

Applicant expressly recognizes and agrees that inclement weather situations are beyond the control of the tournament, and no credits or refunds will be given in the event that inclement weather interferes with, alters, or results in the cancelation of scheduled matches.

In the event of inclement weather forcing play to be halted and preventing the match from completing during the scheduled time, the score shall stand if at least one-half of the match has been completed.

Coaches that have multiple teams and need help with tournament coverage need to have in writing to the tournament the teams they are coaching by the application deadline in order for the tournament to assist with schedules and the head coach needs to be listed as the head coach on the Got Soccer application. The ALBION CUP will accommodate all coaches’ conflicts.

Please note: Once your team has been accepted and paid their entry fee, refunds will not be given. Teams can petition for a refund via email to [email protected]. The Tournament Directors will consider if adequate notice was given to find another team and determine if any administrative expenses have been incurred. The ALBION CUP reserves the right to apply an administrative fee should a refund be granted in all cases of $75.
